Not all panels are created equal. The material thickness, core out size and frames all play a role in how stiff or flexible the mounting surface for the Panel Bike Rack will be. We've created a Panel Bike Rack grade system for panels or carriers to make it easy to understand how stiff or flexible they are as a base for the P.B.R. A+ is the stiffest.  F is the most flexible.  You can mount to any flat surface.  It just comes down to how much flex it will add to the system.
